The Family Shocks

Family Shocks were formed by Dave Pression , Adam Angst, and June Bloom a couple of years ago due to a growing urge to let out emotions of angst and desperation about their current lives , atmosphere and shitty job situations .Taking a que from listening to TSOL, The Stooges, Joy Division , The Cramps, CCR, Clock DVA ,Chrome , Screaming Jay Hawkins, Hazil Adkins and watching reruns of The Young Ones and Giant Robot , they decided to form a band and make their own sound to take over the world.

The Family Shocks played some local shows around town wowing audiences with their own brand of Pyscho Death A Billy with various bass players for a year . Then one night while collecting seashells on the beaches in Huntington they met future bass player Violet Vineyard who was reading under candle light on the sand . After talking all hours of the night and getting kicked out of Dennys they decided that Violet should join their band and help spread the gospel of anxiety.

Each member has their own unique personalities .Adam has proudly overcome addiction to a few different drugs and alcohol and is dedicated to being sober. Dave is a very quiet, low key but funny person off stage and a crazy mad man onstage .He and Adam have been friends since childhood and feed off each other well.

With a solid band now well rehearsed The Family Shocks have been playing every club that they can in Los Angeles and Orange county.

Their sound is kinda like mixing the Cramps ,Joy Division , The Sonics, TSOL together with Liberace.

They have since went into GRIFF Dog Studios www.griffdogrecords.com to record their debut self titled album for new label Vamped Records www.vampedrecords.com . Some of the titles:Transexual, Truth is Gone, Spanking Babies and My stepdads and ASSHOLE.

They now have a new guitarist named Ryley who also sings and plays guitar with new band and Vamped Records band Horrors of Toledo .June Bloom is with child , actually Dave Pressions child and will return after the baby is born . Then there will be 2 guitair players with an extra sonic assault .
